How does two-step verification work for logging into My Vodafone?

To further protect your data and information, we have introduced an additional security feature for logging into My Vodafone Self Care - two-step verification.

When do I need a verification code to log in?

  • My Vodafone website - we'll send the verification code to your phone number after you've entered your email and password correctly each time you log in.
  • My Vodafone app - for now, your email and password will be sufficient when you log in to the app. We’ll soon be adding support for two-step verification to the My Vodafone mobile app as well. Once the app is available and you update it to version 5.28, you’ll log in using your email, your own password, and a code sent via SMS. After your first login to the new version, you’ll of course be able to enable convenient biometric login, so you won’t have to enter your credentials and SMS code every time.

How do I switch to the new login method?

  • I'm a new Vodafone customer - when you purchase services from us, you'll receive an email with a registration link to set up your access, including two-step verification.
  • I'm an existing customer, but I haven't yet set up email login with two-step verification - see our detailed guide on how to set up email login. You can also use the video tutorials below.

Can I use other methods than SMS codes for two-step verification?

At this moment, we only support verification using SMS codes. However, in the future, we want to come up with other options for confirming login.
