WITH THE FLEXISTROP SERVICE, YOU DON’T CALL FOR EVEN A KORUNA MORE THAN YOU WANT TO

08. December 2005

Oskar Vodafone tariff customers can now have more control over their telephone bill. They don’t have to worry about going further over their monthly fee than they want to. As of today, Oskar Vodafone tariff customers don’t have to worry while they wait for their telephone bills. Oskar Vodafone tariff customers can now have more control over their telephone bill. They don’t have to worry about going further over their monthly fee than they want to. As of today, Oskar Vodafone tariff customers don’t have to worry while they wait for their telephone bills. Customers can really prevent themselves from spending more beyond their monthly fee than they want to. Oskar Vodafone has come up with another cost-controlling tool for tariff customers. Following the Smart Overview service, the operator is introducing FlexiStrop.

With this free service customers can set an arbitrary maximum amount that can be spent for every phone number on their customer account statement. Once they reach this limit, their telephone number will be blocked from further outgoing activity. The FlexiStrop service is therefore beneficial to, for instance, small and medium-sized businesses or families when their telephone bill has more than one telephone number being used by overly talkative employees or children.

After reaching 50% of the set FlexiStrop amount, the SIM card owner is, of course, informed through a free text message. After spending 100% of the set limit, the card is blocked and functions only for receiving calls and messages. In the case of business customers, the account administrator is also informed via SMS.

FlexiStrop can be set in one hundred koruna increments, from 100 CZK for one telephone number up to the amount of the calling limit of a given customer account. After it is set up through any of the Oskar Self-Service channels (Internet, Voice, SMS, Pocket) it is activated from the nearest following billing period

The SIM card can also be unblocked easily. At the same time, only the person who knows the customer account password (or, in the case of business clients, the administrator’s password) can unblock the card. FlexiStrop is then unblocked for the given billing period. For future billing periods, it is important to re-activate the service. The amount of the limit can be changed a maximum of three times per billing period.

This cost-controlling device is only a means of orientation. The customer should take standard delays for the billing of certain services, e.g. roaming, into account. FlexiStrop calculates amounts without VAT. Also, FlexiStrop does not activate blocking when the set limit is reached while a service is being used, e.g. in the middle of a call, nor does it factor in the monthly fee, one-time fees, or any free services that the may customer have.

The FlexiStrop service is a follow-up to the existing Flexilimit service, which does not block a phone once a set limit is reached, but only sends the information to the customer through SMS. In addition to these cost-controlling devices, customers can also use the Smart Overview service, which informs them of how many calling minutes they have spent, how many SMSes they have sent, how many remaining free minutes they have, etc.
