Vodafone wins the title ‘Most Responsible Large Company’ for 2010
The Donors’ Forum gave Vodafone the prestigious award, TOP Philanthropist for 2010, in the main category of Most Responsible Large Company. "We want our business to positively influence certain social issues, that's why we celebrated the tenth anniversary of the company with an unusual campaign of volunteer blood donation," said Social Responsibility manager, Přemysl Filip. The award for the most responsible large company in the TOP Philanthropist competition is given by the Donors' Forum to companies that are systematic and innovative in their approach to engage the community in all areas: from relations with employees, customers and suppliers through to a responsible approach to the environment and their donations. The 2010 TOP Philanthropist Award, after winning the CSR Award in 2008 and 2010 and receiving the title of 'Company working on behalf of the community' in the 2009 TOP Philanthropist competition, is further confirmation of Vodafone's leadership in Corporate Social Responsibility. The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility at Vodafone is to connect CSR activities with the daily business of the company including the involvement of top management and employees, so that they have in mind, even outside the workplace, the principles of fairness and consideration of their surroundings and environment.
