The third sequel of the documentary “The Venturous 12” describing original Czech entrepreneurs, who have been nominated by the public, is about to begin. The sequel’s guru was Oskar but the new Vodafone branding has continued in its production. TV Prima will broadcast “The Venturous 12” every Sunday after 1:50 p.m. starting on March 5th.

„During the nomination process we received 337 names of interesting Czech businesspeople; 12 finalists, whose stories could actually inspire others in undertaking business practices, were then selected by an expert panel, “ explains Igor Prerovsky, the vice-president of Vodafone’s branding and communication. “Nominations were offered by both the general public and the company’s employees “ says Prerovsky.

Vodafone in collaboration with the company Febio have already produced two series of “The Venturous 12” in the years 2004 and 2005; the program has been widely accepted by its audience – on average about half a million people watched each episode on TV Prima.

„This year we changed the showing time of “The Venturous 12” after 1:50 p.m. on Sundays in order to better reach our target group, „ explains Milos Zahradnik, TV Prima’s program director. People can watch “The Venturous 12” every Sunday from March to May.

„The public’s tips for this year’s sequel show that Czechs are capable of appreciating venturous businessmen with original business stories, “ claims Fero Fenic, Febia’s manager. Top Czech documentary producers like Olga Sommerová („O čem sní ženy“/What Women Want) and Roman Vavra („Čert ví proč“/The Devil Knows Why) will take part in this year’s episodes; newcomers such as Linda Jablonska and Jakub Sommer will also get the opportunity of participating in the prestigious series.

This year more women (5) have been selected to the final group of 12. TV watchers can look forward to seeing the owner of the country’s largest Oriental dancing school or to a manufacturer of hemp cosmetics or to a businesswoman from Valasska, whose hockey pucks are being used at the Olympic Games.

It is possible to replay or download all of the past episodes of “The Venturous 12” at the www.dvanactodvaznych.cz web-site.
