VODAFONE REDUCES ROAMING RATES BEFORE THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Before the upcoming summer holidays, Vodafone is once again making roaming calls cheaper. From today, the connection fee with the Vodafone Passport service is dropping from CZK 29.75 (with VAT) to CZK 22 (with VAT). All Vodafone customers can thus enjoy cheaper calls with Vodafone Passport from all EU countries and Croatia.

"With regards to the fact that roaming traffic increases sharply in the middle of June, for our customers it makes sense to implement our permanent price reductions now. ," says Vodafone Czech Republic's Vice-President of Marketing Chris Robbins, adding, "Vodafone customers will appreciate this decision to lead the industry to provide real value for our customers at the right time, rather than waiting for any regulated “Eurotariff”, which is being planned by the rest of the industry in the EU for the end of summer, when most people have already returned from their vacations."

Vodafone Passport enables:

• calling from partner networks abroad for the same per-minute rate as tits domestic tariff to other networks in the Czech Republic plus the CZK 22 (with VAT) connection fee
• receive calls while abroad and only pay the CZK 22 (with VAT) connection fee

The customer is charged the connection fee at the beginning of the call, then automatically every 20 minutes. For sending SMS and MMS messages and data while abroad, the customer is charged according to the Vodafone World Roaming pricelist.

Vodafone Passport is available:

• to Vodafone customers (with tariffs and with prepaid services), who have activated the Vodafone World Roaming service
• in all European Union countries, as well as Croatia, Australia, and New Zealand
• without the need to pay any activation or monthly fees
• through an activation SMS and through Internet, Voice, and Pocket self-service
