Vodafone is going to update the systems to allow customers to activate new roaming tariffs

During the weekend of 25 to 27 May 2012, Vodafone is going to update its systems. After the update, customers will be able to activate new, more advantageous roaming tariffs. In order to ensure that the update runs properly, the services of all Self Cares will be temporarily suspended during the weekend. The voice, text and data services will not be affected in any way.

“We recommend that our customers make all service set-ups and activations by Friday noon. Pre-paid customers should top up their credit via ATMs or Sazka top-up terminals. We are truly sorry for the temporary discomfort and appreciate our customers´ understanding,” says Miroslav Čepický, the Vodafone spokesman.

After the update, Vodafone customers will be able to activate a new roaming tariff Vodafone Daily Roaming, the first roaming tariff on the Czech market to allow customers to use their free units for calls from abroad. In 41 European countries, they can simply forget about borders and use their home tariff to call, SMS and send data for a single fee of CZK 99 per day.

Customers who need to block their lost or stolen SIM card can contact the Customers Service at 800 77 00 77. Other requests will not be possible to deal with during the weekend. The Customer Service will be fully available again on Monday 28 May. The Internet, Mobile and SMS Self Care will be inaccessible the whole weekend. 

Pre-paid customers are recommended to top up their credit via ATMs or Sazka top-up terminals. Transactions made via other channels will be recorded and processed after the scheduled outage is terminated. To activate a new SIM card, customers are asked to wait until the next week.

During the whole weekend, the Vodafone eShop will take orders as usual. However, they won’t be processed and dispatched until after the outage. Therefore it is necessary to take into account a slight delay in delivery.
