Vodafone offers two discounted mobiles in March in Makro and Tesco

20. March 2008

In the second half of March, people will be able to buy two special discounted Vodafone mobile phones along with a ‘wild card’ in the value of CZK 200. From the 19th of March to the first of April, the Sony Ericsson V630i for CZK 2 999 including VAT along with a ‘wild card’ will be on sale at Tesco stores. At Makro, which is more focused on entrepreneurs, the Nokia 6234 for CZK 2 999,- without VAT (CZK 3 569 with VAT) will be on sale. If you compare the prices at both the Vodafone shops and on the Internet e-shop, the prices of the packages with ‘wild cards‘ at both retail chains are about CZK 200 lower. “Selling mobiles in retail shops has really turned out well for us, for that reason, we want to work together with our partners to constantly bring new, attractive offers exclusively to retail chain customers,” says Ondřej Tomeš, who is responsible for working with retail chains at Vodafone.

As the first to bring mobile phones to the shelves of retail stores in the first half of 2007, Vodafone unveiled the cheapest mobile on the market, the 225, in Tesco. From then on, Vodafone’s cooperation with retail chains has expanded and, up to now, is bringing regularly almost each quarter special offers currently in cooperation with 6 retail store chains.
