Vodafone offers the Beneficial Tariff to the disadvantaged and disabled

From January 1, 2007 Vodafone Czech Republic will offer the Beneficial Tariff to citizens with low incomes and special social requirements, as well as the disabled. Those who meet the legal conditions for getting this special price plan from Vodafone can subscribe to all of the operator’s Loaded tariffs, except Loaded 100, and get a discount of up to CZK 200 off their monthly fee. All customers with low incomes or special social requirements who meet the legal requirements indicated by government Act no. 336/2006 Coll., and who submit the relevant confirmation from an authorised municipal office to Vodafone, have the opportunity to get the Beneficial Tariff.

From January 1, 2007 Vodafone Czech Republic will offer the Beneficial Tariff to citizens with low incomes and special social requirements, as well as the disabled. Those who meet the legal conditions for getting this special price plan from Vodafone can subscribe to all of the operator’s Loaded tariffs, except Loaded 100, and get a discount of up to CZK 200 off their monthly fee.

All customers with low incomes or special social requirements who meet the legal requirements indicated by government Act no. 336/2006 Coll., and who submit the relevant confirmation from an authorised municipal office to Vodafone, have the opportunity to get the Beneficial Tariff. This offer is also available to disabled customers who submit documents indicated in § 3 of government Act no. 336/2006 Coll. to Vodafone.

“In the scope of the credit that Vodafone customers get towards a discounted monthly fee, the rate for calling with the Loaded 300 Beneficial Tariff becomes just CZK 2.38 per minute and sending an SMS costs just CZK 0.52, both prices including VAT,” says Bernd Scheed, Marketing Director for Vodafone Czech Republic, adding, “As a firm with a strong sense of social responsibility, we are very pleased that we can assist this group of customers in a difficult situation.”

List of documents that Beneficial Tariff applicants must present:

a) Applicants with low incomes or with special social needs
  • confirmation issued from an authorised municipal office, no older than one month from the date of issuance.
b) Applicants with ZTP-category handicaps:
  • ZTP card
  • decision from a municipal office with extended competence to grant extraordinary Level II benefits owing to complete or practical deafness.
c) Applicants with ZTP/P-category handicaps:
  • ZTP/P card
  • decision from a municipal office with extended competence to grant extraordinary Level III benefits.

If the applicant is a person who personally cares for a minor who falls under either of the aforementioned ZTP or ZTP/P categories, we will also require them to provide:

  • evidence that the person is a parent of the minor: birth certificate, passport, or citizen identification card
  • a decision from a relevant organ, on the basis of which the applicant is declared officially responsible for the minor’s care
d) Applicant declared disadvantaged by an accredited OSSZ doctor:
  • decision regarding a subsidy for the disadvantaged.

If the applicant is a person who personally cares for a minor, with the approval of an accredited doctor of the relevant district authorities for social security for the disadvantaged, we will also require these documents:

  • evidence that the person is a parent of the minor: birth certificate, passport, or citizen identification card
  • a decision from a relevant organ, on the basis of which the applicant is declared officially responsible for the minor’s care

All applicants (or their representatives) must also present a document verifying their identities – a citizen identification card or a passport.
