Vodafone offers free public transportation timetables
As part of the Europe-wide Mobility Week that is taking place from September 16 to 23, 2007, access to the Public Transportation Timetables service on the Vodafone live! portal is completely free, thereby providing all passengers with an easy-to-use means of finding alternative public transport connections. As part of its social responsibility program, Vodafone thus wants to support Mobility Week, the objective of which is the development of sustainable mobility in town centres, in consideration of the environment and citizens. Vodafone's General Director Grahame Maher, who uses the Prague metro and trams to travel to work every day, is also a major supporter of public transport. "Free access to the Public Transportation Timetables service makes it easier for our customers to use public transport, which is, in comparison with travelling by car, considerably more considerate towards residents and the environment," says Přemysl Filip, Senior Manager of Social Responsibility, Vodafone Czech Republic. Free Public Transportation Timetables on Vodafone live! free from 16.
