Vodafone gives award in competition of successful companies and businesspeople for second year

For the second year in a row, Vodafone is supporting successful businesspeople and companies as part of the Vodafone Company of the Year awards, sponsored by Hospodářské Noviny. The operator gave out a special prize in the Business Rebel 2009 category, which recognizes the best customer care. “Just like last year, we want to support the fascinating stories of firms and businesspeople who have started up their businesses successfully and decided to offer goods and services under conditions that are more favourable for the customer, and different from what is common on the market,” stated Pavel Hlavinka, Vice-President for Business Customers, Vodafone. The Vodafone Company of the Year 2009 and the Business Rebel 2009 category is open to companies and businesspeople in all regions of the Czech Republic. The Vodafone Company of the Year 2009 and the Business Rebel 2009 category is open to companies and businesspeople in all regions of the Czech Republic. In the Vodafone Company of the Year 2009 competition, every company with a maximum turnover of 1.4 billion crowns and an accounting history of at least two years has a chance to win. Entrepreneurs with trade licenses and companies can enter the special Business Rebel 2009 category by writing their entrepreneurial stories, in which they present how they distinguish themselves from their competition. Those interested can enter the contest from May to June. Regional rounds will take place in September and October, and the winners will be announced at the end of November.

Last year, a record-setting 3,220 businesses registered to enter the Vodafone Company of the Year 2008 competition. The winner was packaging materials manufacturer Servisbal Obaly. The winner of the Business Rebel 2008 was self-service restaurant The Pub Franchising.
