BroadNet provides voice, data and internet services to hundreds of business clients on the Czech market and operates its own FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) broadband network in the nationwide licensed bandwidths of 26 and 28 GHz. BroadNet was a part of pan-European BroadNet Holdings B.V., fully owned by the largest U.S. corporation providing cable and broadband services - Comcast Corporation.
„The acquisition of BroadNet is another confirmation of our commitment to bringing total telecommunications services to the Czech business market. It is one step on our journey to becoming a leading provider in this area. .“ says Muriel Anton, CEO of Vodafone Czech republic and adds: „Since the launch of Vodafone OneNet, the formation of the Business Enterprise Unit and the arrival to the Vodafone board of the former CEO Vegacom Pavel Hlavinka, we have significantly strengthened our position and credibility in the business segment.“
BroadNet brings to Vodafone vast experience in the fixed-line market, relationships developed over years, and has an approach to customer service that matches with Vodafone’s. „We are happy to become a member of the Vodafone family and thus further improve the services and care we provide our customers. Our customer will benefit from the merge as they will keep receiving the services they have with BroadNet and at the same time will have access to the services offering of the world´s largest international mobile operator.” said ing. Ivan Nedvídek BroadNet CEO and adds: „BroadNet shares with Vodafone the same customer approach based on deep understanding of customers’ needs and commitment to bringing them real value. “
