Richard Stonavský has been promoted to the director for regulatory and public affairs at Vodafone

Richard Stonavský (36) becomes a director for regulatory and public affairs at Vodafone Czech Republic from September 1, 2011. He will be mainly responsible for communication with the regulatory offices, public institutions and telecommunication associations. "Experience and professional skills are key qualities that will assure our future success in telecommunications. Richard has both of these skills," says Colin Shea, vice-president for strategy, planning and regulatory. Richard Stonavsky has over twelve years of experience in the telco market.

Richard Stonavský (36) becomes a director for regulatory and public affairs at Vodafone Czech Republic from September 1, 2011. He will be mainly responsible for communication with the regulatory offices, public institutions and telecommunication associations.

Richard Stonavsky has over twelve years of experience in the telco market. Before he joined Vodafone, he had been working as the manager of the regulatory department at T-Mobile and Aliatel. Since 2003 he has been a member of the Association of Mobile Network Operators. On top of that he held the position of the deputy chairman of the Czech Association of Electronic Communications.

Besides his long-time experience Richard Stonavský has also a strong theoretical background. He graduated from The University of Economics in Prague, majoring from economic policy at the Faculty of Economics and Public. Later he received the MBA degree from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. Last but not least he obtained extensive knowledge of public finance by studying at the Scottish University of Stirling.
