RENUMBERING RESULTS IN HUNDREDS OF CZECH BUSINESSES JOINING OSKAR

29. October 2002

September turns out to be the most successful month in Oskar’s history in terms of business client additions. “If we have to buy new business cards and letterhead paper, why not change our mobile operator as well and be better off?“ This was the thinking of hundreds of large and small Czech companies who joined the Oskar network in September. The renumbering of the phone network contributed to September being the most successful month in Oskar’s history in terms of new business client activations. The number of calls received by OskarBusinessKontakt 800 77 77 00, Oskar’s business sales line, was 2.6 times higher in September than during average months.

Every day, Oskar signed dozens of new contracts with business clients of all sizes who decided to switch to Oskar from their former provider. The number of business SIMs sold during the month increased into thousands. This does not include the figures reached in July and August, which were also higher than average.

New business clients who joined Oskar last month include Pinelli (the producer of the popular Semtex energy drink) or Zenit Čáslav. These clients joined Oskar’s existing customer base that includes such big names as Aliatel, Ericsson, Siemens, OMV, ABB, Canon, the Czech Statistical Office or the Karlovy Vary and Vysočina region authorities.

„It is obvious that many smart thinking managers took the renumbering process as an opportunity for a positive change,“ says Sylvie Scott, Vice President Marketing, Retail and Business Sales. „Oskar’s advantageous tariffs and the special renumbering package attracted hundreds of businesses of all sizes.“ The renumbering package (worth up to CZK 25,000) consists of a set of bonuses ranging from a hi-tech SIM reader to subsidies for new business cards.

Business clients continue to flow in during the first few days of October. Oskar has prepared another unique offer for businesses. Any business client who switches to Oskar before the end of the year will be eligible for monthly fee waiver for up to a year! The offer is very simple. In order to qualify for the waiver, the busines client needs to buy and activate Oskar’s Safe Bet or Best Return tariff between October 1 and December 31. Safe Bet subscribers will enjoy the monthy- fee-vacation for 12 months while Best Return customers won’t have to pay monthly fees for 6 months. Any customer who has a Business Identification No. (IČO) and orders at least 2 SIMs is eligible for this special offer.
