OSKARZONE CONTINUES TO LAUNCH ONE SERVICE AFTER ANOTHER

• OskarZone introduces 2 new entertaining and practival services: wChat and Jeseníky Info
• OskarZone sees individual developers up against companies in a tight fight in Oskar’s “Developers’ Cup“.

As of December 4, you can find two brand new services on Oskar´s WAP: wChat and Jeseníky Info. Both of themservices are useful and fun at the same time and both of them were programed created by smart ingenious Czech developers and brought to customers thanks to OskarZóna.

wChat is a WAP discussion club that will never let allow you to feel lonely againg. The service offers starting up own chat rooms, fast transfer from a public room to a private discussion, contributing to the chat in the off-line mode, discrete whispering and many other features. WChat was designed for OskarZone by Pavel Janda who is the author of the successful Organizer.

Jeseníky Info will serve you any time you travel to the beautiful Moravian mountains. Jeseníky provides information about services offered (from accomodation and boarding to ski rentals) and also about upcoming events. Author of the Jeseníky Info service is Jan Heřmanský and Bronislav Máslo, who are contributing to Oskarzone for the first time.

The OskarZone project was initiated in July 2002 following an idea which is as genial as simple. Any developer, whether a technology student or a flourishing software company, can submit his/her original application to Oskar via www.oskarzona.cz. Selected high-quality applications are offered to Oskar’s more than 1,000,000 customers. Every developer receives a share in the revenues generated by his/her application. The developer is also fully responsible for content and operation of the service.

The development of OskarZone has exceeded all expectations of its creators and testifies to the creativity of Czech developers. As of today, over 400 developers are involved in this partnership program and 18 applications have been launched. The partners also carry Oskar’s unofficial “Developers‘ Cup“, a competition based on the popularity of services developed within OskarZone, confirms the ability of creative individuals to keep up with established partner companies in developing services and generating revenues.
