OSKAR’S NETWORK TO BE CONTROLED BY STATE-OF-ART SOFTWARE
Oskar is looking to even further enhance its network quality following the signing of a multi-year licensing agreement with WatchMark, the supplier of state-of-the-art software for wireless telecommunication service assurance. Oskar is the first mobile operator in Europe to use the new modular WatchMark software, adapted for modern wireless networks. The software package installed in the Oskar High-Tech Centrum includes WatchMark’s Control™ (fault management system), Prospect™ (performance management system) and Pilot™ (visualization and decision management products). „Oskar will obtain a package of operation systems from WatchMark in order to further enhance network quality and reliability and to reduce operating costs,“ said Jon Eddy, Český Mobil’s Chief Technical Officer. Oskar will be implementing the new system maintenance software in the Oskar Hi-Tech Centrum located in Říčany near Prague.

Oskar will be implementing the new system maintenance software in the Oskar Hi-Tech Centrum located in Říčany near Prague. The new software will allow Oskar’s technical teams to fine-tune system performance in order to improve coverage and expand wireless transmission possibilities.
The modular software project facilitates integration and significantly reduces installation times. Oskar and WatchMark anticipate that product installation, setup and testing procedures will be performed in weeks.
