As of today, the general public can send in their suggestions of entrepreneurs who deserve to be recognized for their courage, originality and inspirational qualities. The jury will choose the most interesting entrepreneurs whose profiles will appear on the small screen in 2006. The jury will choose the most interesting entrepreneurs whose profiles will appear on the small screen in 2006.

Everyone who’s got a tip for an interesting entrepreneur can nominate their candidate on the web pages www.dvanactodvaznych.cz from today until July 29th. It’s also possible to play and download all episodes that have aired so far.

“With the Daring Dozen TV series, Oskar seeks to inspire others to meet their entrepreneurial dreams – that’s why we want these fascinating entrepreneurs to be nominated by the customers and colleagues who know them the best, “ says Igor Přerovský, Vice President Brand and Communication at Oskar. “After broadcasting the first and second season of documentaries, we received a lot feedback from viewers who wanted to tell us about someone they knew who they felt deserved to be in the Daring Dozen. So this year we thought we’d make it easy for them to give us their tips,” adds Přerovský.”

The professional panel of judges – which will include representatives of Oskar, the Febio Production Company, media and the current members of The Daring Dozen – will review a short-list of candidates from among the suggestions provided. Among these, they will look for successful entrepreneurs who have achieved their success because they had the courage to follow their dreams and inspire others. In August Oskar will announce the 12 winners. In January and February of 2006 the profiles of these winning entrepreneurs will appear on TV screens.

But what does it really mean to become one of the Daring Dozen? “The publicity will change the way some people behave towards you. After the series aired, I felt that those of my business partners who had seen the documentary had greater respect for me," says Bohumil Háj, a map producer and the hero of one episode from last year’s series.

Already two rounds of 12 episodes have been completed by Oskar Productions in cooperation with the Febio Production Company, and filmed by respected documentary directors like Olga Sommerová, Věra Chytilová or Ján Sebechlebský. Both series presented in 2004 and 2005 enjoyed a positive reception from the public – each episode aired on Prima Television was watched by an average of half a million viewers*.
