GE Capital Bank, a.s., and eBanka, a.s., are the first banks to support Oskar’s M-Bank service. Customers of these banks can check their account balance and history, place orders of payment, establish term deposits and use many other services. The number of partner banks will grow.
Oskar’s M-Bank service uses all existing technologies to ensure maximum security. Communication between the customer and the bank is encrypted and all transactions, including incoming messages, are protected by private MPIN code. To support this service, Oskar is introducing the new SIM plus card, which is the market leader in terms for capacity and performance. The card has the largest storage capacity on the market (64Kb) and supports advanced SIM Toolkit, navigation and encryption technologies.
M-Bank is not the only service supported by the new SIM Plus card. In fact the card incorporates a brand new Oskar menu containing three main entries - M-Bank, M- Payments and Info & Entertainment. M-Payments service is based on the previously introduced Mobile Payments service and allows customers to replenish their Oskarta comfortably and quickly or make a payment for Oskar services. Info & Entertainment represents a suite of five SIM Toolkit-based services. Using them enables customers to obtain up-to-date news, sport news, timetables, cinema programmes and much more practical information via SMS.
Existing as well as new customers can obtain SIM Plus card with M-Bank via Internet Selfcare at www.oskarmobil.cz, at the *077 line or in Oskar’s stores. New customers can also order through OskarKontakt by dialing toll-free (0)800 77 77 77. The fee for SIM Plus activation is CZK 300 and there is no need for existing customers to change their number.
“Oskar's M-Bank enables its users to enjoy all possible comfort of direct banking services. In addition to the most frequent transactions there is also an Electronic key implemented at eBanka, which opens a secure way to personal as well as to corporate finance administration via internet,” said Pavel Hrubý, eBanka’s Marketing and Business Development Director.
“Being the GSM banking leader in the Czech market, GE Capital Bank can’t miss out the launch of GSM banking in Oskar network. Clients of GE Capital as well as of Oskar will welcome this moment. “The merit – as to comfort, time saving, and simplicity – which we offer to our customers thanks to the service, is really great,” said Monika Königová, GE Capital Bank’s Product Manager.
