• Oskar’s new service – ”OskarKompas” - can determine the customer’s location and navigate the user towards the destination of choice

As of September 11th, Oskar launches “OskarKompas” service. This new service will make it easy for customers to navigate towards a specific location, whether it is a place, company or institution. The service also allows the customers to re-direct themselves if they are lost. In addition, with OskarKompas customers can also determine precise distance to whenever they choose to go, display the phone number and or hours of operation and check the location of the destination on a map.

Almost everyone has found himself or herself, at one time or another, lost in an unknown place or in need of directions. When a doctor is required, OskarKompas enables customers to locate the closest hospital or pharmacy. If a car breaks down you can easily look up the nearest available gas station. Everyone who travels will also appreciate the overview of hotels and campsites offered. To withdraw money, pay an invoice or replenish an Oskarta, customers can find the closest bank or ATM to complete this service. OskarKompas will also help those in search of a railway station, police station, post office, restaurant, or the authorities (financial office, trade license office, land register, regional authority, municipal authority, district authority, social authority, educational authority, office of labor and state authorities). After placing both point of departure and expected arrival time, OskarKompas can even recommend the details and schedule of the journey, including the summary of branch roads and road numbers.

OskarKompas is also easy to use. To benefit from OskarKompas one has to identify the location by placing the name of the town and your street address, or the address of the closest facility. You can even place the geographical description from a GPS system. OskarKompas then shows the overview of the closest requested facilities along with their distance, map and further details about the located facilities. OskarKompas will even determine the direction towards the desired object and will display the map with a highlighted point of departure and arrival. All the chosen objects are listed with detailed information, such as their name, full address, telephone number, etc. For the orientation according to cardinal points you can also use a compass, oriented by the Sun during the day and by the North Star in the night!

The database of OskarKompas offers more than 2020 pharmacy shops, 1550 ATMs, more than 2300 gas stations, 4500 hotels, 750 campsites and many more. It also includes information about opening hours, lists accepted bank cards and describes services offered.
