Boomerang Digital and MEDIA FACTORY to prepare online version of ČILICHILI for Vodafone

Boomerang Digital has won a tender to become the provider of the online version of Vodafone’s company magazine ČILICHILI. The agency has thus become the key supplier of the project as a whole, together with MEDIA FACTORY Czech Republic, which was assessed as the best graphic designer out of the agencies participating in the tender. “In its proposal, Boomerang Digital convinced us that it can create an attractive and viable online version of ČILICHILI magazine, with the original spirit of the print version. At the same time, it offered us an advanced editing system that will enable indispensable development of the website in the future,” says Eva Štípková, Interactive Marketing Manager, Vodafone. During the tender, four agencies that had recently participated in a tender for Vodafone interactive marketing activities were addressed: 1. Multimediální, Advertures, Boomerang Digital a MEDIA FACTORY.

MEDIA FACTORY prepared the design and creative concept for a portal that earned it the highest user testing rating. Therefore, this agency will be the provider of the graphic and creative part of the project. As for the print version of the magazine, Boomerang Publishing will be the content provider for the ČILICHILI online.

“We are bringing the high level of publicity and editorial work, as well as the humor and mildly provocative style, of the print magazine to the new online version of ČILICHILI,” says Michal Schindler, editor-in-chief of both versions of the magazine, adding, “Both versions will initially share content; however, with time we want the portal to take on its own unique multimedia life.”

The new portal, featuring the theme of the print version, will be enhanced with multimedia components, will offer far more opportunities for interaction with readers, and will be updated on a daily basis. It will be accessible directly through www.cilichili.cz and from the pages of www.vodafone.cz.

ČILICHILI magazine, which belongs to the B2C segment, was established in 2004 and has a circulation of 130,000 copies per month. In addition to information about Vodafone services and products, readers can also find other “doses of sharp writing” in every issue. This has won the magazine a number of awards in the Zlatý středník competition in the category of Best Company Magazine.
