A voucher and a string bag in exchange for an old phone

Customers who hand in their old mobile phone at any Vodafone shop will get a CZK 500 voucher to buy a new phone, plus an ecological string bag. The offer is available until the end of October and can be combined with the CZK 500 discount on smartphones, which is also available at the moment. Using both discounts, customers can save a total of CZK 1,000 when buying a new phone.

“We want to encourage our customers to hand in their used mobile phones for recycling and thus raise awareness that electronic waste does not belong to municipal solid waste containers, where it can be dangerous,” says Kateřina Husová, who organizes social responsibility activities at Vodafone. Vodafone will commission a specialized company to arrange the repeated use of certain parts of the old phones and an ecological disposal of the parts unsuitable for recycling.

The CZK 500 voucher is available to the existing customers who are entitled to have their mobile phone replaced after two years, as well as to the new customers who sign up for at least a twenty-minute bundle. The voucher is transferable and is valid until the end of October. When buying a new mobile phone, only one voucher can be used. The voucher can be combined with the discount of CZK 500 that is currently available on smartphones upon activating the Internet in Mobile or Internet in Mobile Full tariffs. This way, customers who hand in their old mobile phone can get a new smartphone by CZK 1,000 cheaper. A new mobile phone can cost as little as CZK 77.

For handing in their mobile phone, customers will also get a string bag as a present. This way, Vodafone wants to encourage its customers to take a considerate approach to the environment. A string bag is small and practical to carry on you at any time, helping you avoid plastic bags while shopping and protect the environment.
