Starting today, customers who sign up for Oskar’s Full 300 or 500 tariffs can now take their pick of golden numbers from all prefixes offered by Oskar – absolutely free. This offer is valid only until June 30. Oskar also introduces a new 774 prefix today. Oskar’s numeric converter at www.oskar.
Starting today, customers who sign up for Oskar’s Full 300 or 500 tariffs can now take their pick of golden numbers from all prefixes offered by Oskar – absolutely free. This offer is valid only until June 30. Oskar also introduces a new 774 prefix today. Oskar’s numeric converter at www.oskar.cz will help customers with their choice, as it will inform them whether a particular number is available. “By offering free golden numbers and by introducing the new 774 prefix, we want to make transition to Oskar easier during the upcoming mobile phone number portability,” says Marek Sláčík, Director, Acquisition & Channel Marketing.
Oskar is offering its customers approximately 16 thousand golden numbers of six basic types

After June 30, the selection of golden numbers will be subject to a fee of CZK 3,000 (+ 19% VAT).
Golden numbers are attractive especially to business customers, who make up 66 % of all Oskar golden number users.
The converter, available at www.oskar.cz, will not only check the availability of a requested number but will also automatically offer a list of all free golden numbers, or a list of all free numbers with a particular prefix. Customers wishing to have their number take the form of a particular word (e.g. 774 KRÁSKA) will be informed by the converter if the combination is available and, if not, will also offer other alternatives (e.g. 774 KRÁSNÁ). The converter is also equipped to look for all numbers containing particular digits that the customer wants to include in his/her number (e.g. date of birth). Business customers will surely appreciate the fact that the converter is also capable of searching for a free series of numbers that could be used within the company.
“Our market research has proven that fear of losing one’s number is the single most important factor preventing people from switching to a different operator,” says Marek Sláčík. The 774 prefix enables customers to keep their current number (if available in the database) and to change only the prefix – and it is completely free. “With the upcoming phone number portability, the customers will be able to keep one number all their life. Everyone should thus consider carefully what kind of number it will be,” adds Sláčík.
