Vodafone Wild Card on sale at chain stores and petrol stations

As of today, Vodafone customers will have the opportunity to purchase prepaid Wild Cards at several chain stores and petrol stations in addition to shops and other regular prepaid distribution channels. Thanks to its partnership with Star Communications a.s. customers now have access to Vodafone’s prepaid services at all Okay Elektrospotrebice and ElectroWorld chains and at OMV petrol stations.

“Partnering with Star Communications, a.s., will make mobile services even more accessible to a wider range of customers,” says Vodafone Czech Republic’s Vice-President for Sales and Customer Care Ann Hofvander, adding, “We’re looking forward to closing many more retail partnerships through Star Communications to increase the number of our distribution channels for prepaid products even further.”

After the recent announcement regarding the beginning of discussions about the possibility of network sharing with T-Mobile, partnership with Star Communications a.s. represents another step towards fulfilling the strategic goals of Vodafone CZ, which are to recreate the business through partnerships and reducing expenditures.

The recommended price of a new Vodafone Wild Card is CZK 200 and at the same time includes credit of CZK 200. According to the distributor’s discretion, a customer will also be able to buy a Vodafone Wild Card as part of various favourably-priced packages.

As part of the Christmas offer, customers who activate Vodafone Wild Cards until February 28, 2007 get CZK 300 worth of credit for free after their first credit recharge. Calls to the Vodafone network cost only CZK 2.50 per minute (without 19% VAT), unlimited by time. The Christmas offer also enables customers to send SMS messages to other numbers in the Vodafone network on weekends free of charge from January to the end of March 2007.
