Vodafone offers connections to the Internet from Europe under the same conditions as in the Czech Republic
Users of smart phones don't have to worry about high bills for Internet access abroad. With the new tariffs, 'Vodafone Passport data for a day' and 'Vodafone Passport data for Good', they can still use mobile Internet for a daily or monthly fee just like at home. Tariffs can be activated by OneNet customers and by customers transferring to the new system, using one of the domestic data tariffs, 'Internet on your mobile' or ‘Internet on your mobile Loaded’. "As the first on the market, we offer customers all the benefits of a domestic data plan even while abroad, as we have for nearly four years with voice services. This allows customers to use their smart phones abroad without restrictions, as they do in the Czech Republic, and without the fear of high bills.

"As the first on the market, we offer customers all the benefits of a domestic data plan even while abroad, as we have for nearly four years with voice services. This allows customers to use their smart phones abroad without restrictions, as they do in the Czech Republic, and without the fear of high bills. If you exceed the amount of data allotted, only the bandwidth is reduced, but the connection will continue, and the customer does not pay a single crown extra" says Martin Chvátal, Senior Marketing Specialist for Roaming Services at Vodafone.
Vodafone Passport data costs 50 crowns per day and customers can use one of the domestic tariffs, Internet on your mobile (FUP 150 megabytes per month) or Internet on your mobile Loaded (FUP 600 megabytes per month), even while abroad, when they activate it in the Czech Republic. The roaming tariff, Vodafone Passport data for Good, allows customers to use their domestic data tariff around Europe for 177 crowns per month. When crossing the borders of the Czech Republic, the conditions don't change; the volume of data is counted as if the customer were at home. Upon crossing the border, only the speed is slower, no additional money is charged.
The main advantages of Vodafone Passport data for a day and Vodafone Passport data for Good are:
- the use of a domestic tariff in 17 European countries, the volume of data is shared
- maximum control over spending - after the volume limit is reached, the speed decreases, but the costs do not increase
These tariffs are for customers who have already received an SMS message, indicating that they were transferred to the new customer system. Customers using Vodafone OneNet can use Vodafone Passport data for Good and Vodafone Passport data for a day in forty countries, including the entire European Union.
The introduction of the Vodafone Passport data for a day and Vodafone Passport data for Good tariffs, follows Vodafone’s voice service, Vodafone Passport, which allows customers to call from abroad for the same price as at home for a one-time connection fee (in European countries CZK 22, including VAT).
The tariffs, Vodafone Passport data for a day and Vodafone Passport data for Good are valid in Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Austria, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Malta and Slovakia.
For OneNet customers, they're also valid in Andorra, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French Guiana, Gibraltar, Guadeloupe, Iceland, Jersey, Cyprus, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Isle of Man, Martinique, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, Slovenia, Sweden and the Vatican.
Activation and cancellation of the service is free and customers can do it over Voice or Internet Self-Care or at any Vodafone shop.
