Vodafone offers automatic location-finding, security, and administration for company vehicles

Auto Manager, the first partnership service from Vodafone and ECS Invention, offers location-finding and security for vehicles, as well as administration of company fleets. The service enables the customer to determine the location of company vehicles, the number of kilometres travelled, and fuel consumption, and it serves as a well-arranged driver log. On meeting certain conditions, Vodafone customers can get a discount of up to 30% off the activation of this service. Vodafone is offering Auto Manager as a partnership service in co-operation with ECS Invention. Auto Manager enables: an updated overview of vehicle activity (location-finding and monitoring) monitoring kilometres travelled (opportunity to alternate journey status – private/service – directly in vehicle) driver identification with the assistance of a non-contact scanner monitoring routes being taken by vehicles generation of overviews and statistics regarding vehicle operation vehicle security in the event of unauthorised entry (immobiliser) Main benefits of Auto Manager: reduces costs (optimisation of operation and fuel consumption) simplifies administration (automatic electronic driver log) provides a possible discount off insurance for vehicles because the service makes them more secure To use Auto Manager, the customer simply needs to install a special device with a Vodafone SIM card and the activated Vodafone voice and data tariff of the customer’s choice.

To use Auto Manager, the customer simply needs to install a special device with a Vodafone SIM card and the activated Vodafone voice and data tariff of the customer’s choice. The application itself, which enables the administration and security of the vehicles, is accessible through the Internet.

Auto Manager can also be used abroad by simply activating the Vodafone World Roaming and Vodafone Connection roaming services. In countries where Vodafone Connection roaming is not accessible, it is possible to transfer information about vehicle operation through SMS.

The price for service activation includes the cost of the equipment and its installation according to the partner’s pricelist (http://www.ecsinvention.cz/vf) and Vodafone customers with a written contract have the opportunity to get a discount of up to 30% off selected items in the pricelist. For example, a Vodafone customer with a contract pays only CZK 10,680 (without VAT) for a GPS security and monitoring system, including driver log and installation. The price of a system for online monitoring of a fleet, including the possibilities of measuring fuel consumption, driver identification, and monitoring adherence to routes and maximum speeds is just CZK 18,505 (without VAT) for Vodafone contract customers.

The price for service operation depends on the volume of data transferred during service usage and is derived from the Vodafone data tariff (http://www.vodafone.cz/consumer/services/data/prices/index.htm) activated for the SIM card that was inserted in the device installed in the vehicle. For instance, when subscribing to the Na skok connection tariff for everyday vehicle location-finding (seven hours per day) the price for data transfers amounts to around CZK 90 per month without 19% VAT.New customers can order the Auto Manager service by calling the Vodafone business sales phone number toll-free at 800 77 77 00, while existing customers can call the Vodafone business care number, also toll-free, at 800 77 22 77.
