“In the next twelve months, we will gradually roll out high-speed mobile Internet in 30-40 towns, including all regional cities. The priority for us is to deliver the best customer experience for both voice and data services,” says Pavel Kos, Vice-President for Technology at Vodafone Czech Republic.
Thanks to 3G, customers can rely on being able to use the Internet on their notebooks or on their mobiles 10 to 15 times faster than with the existing EDGE technology. Customers won’t pay anything extra for this increase in speed, as it will be part of the current data tariffs.
Customers in Brno and Prague can try out the ‘Steady Connect’ data tariff, suitable for surfing and larger downloads, free for one month. If they decide to activate it afterward, they will receive a practical USB modem for the discounted price of CZK 77.

n addition to the accumulative 3G network, Vodafone offers 2G EDGE network, which is now available to more than 95% of the population in the Czech Republic.
