Vodafone begins to offer the services of Raiffeisenbank at its shops

In four of its branches, Vodafone will start to offer the services of Raiffeisenbank under the name "Vodafone Bank of Raiffeisenbank" in addition to telecommunications services. As a result, customers will gain control over their non-stop bank account via SMS, the possibility of using deposit ATMs and extra services for free. "The combination of services Raiffeisenbank and Vodafone will bring customers in addition to benefits for loyalty in the form of free products and verification of each transaction via free SMS also save time because, they have for the first time, their service provider and bank in one place," says Martin Pejša, Director of Sales for Retail Vodafone customers. The branches with "Vodafone Bank from Raiffeisenbank bank" will be opened in smaller cities with roughly twenty to fifty thousand inhabitants. The first pilot stores will be opened in Chrudim, Vyškov, Klatovy and Valašské Meziříčí.

The branches with "Vodafone Bank from Raiffeisenbank bank" will be opened in smaller cities with roughly twenty to fifty thousand inhabitants. In each store, Vodafone employees will be trained as Raiffeisenbank certified bankers and customers will get the same qualified services as with workers at the bank.

"By opening the first stores, we build on the recently launched joint credit card partnership. The portfolio of products in common and customer benefits will continue to expand. This collaboration also allows us to test these new services at pilot locations, for example, there will be a deposit ATM available," said Jiří Čapek, Executive Director for Retail at Raiffeisenbank.

Vodafone Bank from Raiffeisenbank offers special services to customers and will not offer the standard range of services available at the ordinary branches of Raiffeisenbank. In this way, clients can obtain:

  • Vodafone and Vodafone Business eKonto at Raiffeisenbank, which with a turnover of CZK 15 000, customers will receive calls within the Vodafone network one day each week for free
  • the ability to deposit cash through deposit ATMs
  • a Vodafone credit card with which for every CZK 2000 spent, the customer can call on the Vodafone network for the whole weekend for free in the following month
  • Constant control of the movement of money via SMS delivered free with every bank account transaction
  • Secure internet and SMS banking for free, this year eKonto was, for the fourth time in a row, named the best bank account in the Czech Republic
