Vodafone begins the First Green Network Campaign

Vodafone is launching an advertising campaign for first 'green network'. The campaign highlights the fact that Vodafone is the first operator in the Czech Republic to use energy sources to the maximum extent possible from renewable energy, covering 70% of its transmitters, data centers and exchanges. Vodafone, thanks to being the first with a green network saves 19,000 tons of CO2, which corresponds to the annual operation of 200 trucks. The advertising campaign for the first green network was launched in January and will last until the end of February. It uses outdoor advertising, mega billboards, benches, posters and television jingles.

Vodafone, thanks to being the first with a green network saves 19,000 tons of CO2, which corresponds to the annual operation of 200 trucks.

The advertising campaign for the first green network was launched in January and will last until the end of February. It uses outdoor advertising, mega billboards, benches, posters and television jingles.

The concept and visual design of the campaign was produced by the Red Team Agency, the logo and name of the first green network, by the Lemonade Agency.

"The green campaign will clothe itself on the Vodafone fan site on Facebook and Twitter, and on the Vodafone YouTube channel. There will be an educational animated video explaining what the network of green and renewable energy is. The spot has been prepared by the Boomerang Agency," said Vodafone's Interactive Marketing Specialist, Peter Houzar.

The first green network means that Vodafone is the first major company in the Czech Republic, to use energy to the maximum extent possible from renewable energy sources, covering 70% of its transmitters, data centers and exchanges. The remaining third of the energy, whose origin cannot be influenced by Vodafone, for example, technology placed on the transmitters of other owners, will be offset by planting twenty thousand trees.

"We are the first operator in the Czech Republic who came up with the concept of a Green Network, which is unique worldwide," said Přemysl Filip, Manager for Corporate Responsibility at Vodafone.

Thanks to the first green network, Vodafone is not only protecting nature and scarce resources, but also the health of the inhabitants of regions where there are a large number of industrial and power plants. By using renewable energy sources for the Vodafone mobile network, it does not contribute to the local air pollution, sulfur oxides, nitrogen and airborne particles that have plagued residents of northern Bohemia and Ostrava.
