Today Grahame Maher, the former head of Vodafone Sweden, took over the post of Chief Executive Officer at Vodafone Czech Republic. He is replacing the operator’s former CEO Karla D. Stephens, who was responsible for Oskar’s successful birth and growth in the Czech mobile telecommunications market and who made a considerable contribution to the company’s successful sale to the international Vodafone Group. “I am delighted to be leading a company with as much potential as Vodafone Czech Republic. Introducing new, internationally successful services will enrich the mobile communications experiences of existing and potential customers and will strengthen competition on the Czech mobile telecommunications market,” says Grahame Maher, adding, “This year will be marked by Vodafone.

In his previous post at Vodafone’s Swedish branch, Grahame Maher worked with the Swedish management to change the company’s position in a highly competitive market. Prior to coming to Europe, Mr. Maher held the offices of CEO of Vodafone in New Zealand and Australia.
