Oskar’s customers get better control over missed phone calls and don’t have to pay a crown for it – such a strong improvement is brought by the new generation of Voice Mail, offered by Oskar on September 23rd.

Checking for messages in Oskar Voice Mail is now free for all Oskar customers calling from their own mobile phone. But this is not the end of good news. Once anyone reaches your voice mail, Oskar sends you an SMS notification, which now contains also the caller’s number. Thanks to this you will have an instant control over the importance of the missed call. Unlike the past you receive the notifying SMS also in case the caller doesn’t leave you any message and hangs up immediately.

Also the voice mail operation will be much more comfortable now. If you reach the voice mail from your own mobile phone, you won’t need to enter a password and thus the access will be quicker and easier. This is a welcome improvement for e.g. drivers or sales representatives, who don’t want to get disturbed by writing passwords when driving. Existing customers can turn off password protection in Voice or Internet Self care, while new voice mail users are provided with this comfortable setting automatically.

„Oskar is again setting new trend in terms of value for your money. We have put the user-friendliness up to a maximum and, on the contrary, we have lowered the price to zero,”¨ said Mario Mele, Vice President for Business Planning and Service Development. “New Voice Mail is the ideal tool for all demanding customers who want to have direct and fast access to their records and missed calls.”

If you haven’t used the Voice Mail yet, activate it for free in Internet Self care at www.oskarmobil.cz or in Voice Self care at *077 line. If you want all your missed phone calls to be forwarded to Voice Mail you only need to select the option in your phone menu or to enter **004*+420 608 98 98 98# sequence on your keyboard and confirm it by Send button. You can listen to the messages you have in your voice mail easily – by calling *98 from your mobile and following the phone instructions.

Oskar’s customers can also use the Advanced Voice Mail, which offers services such as sorting messages or sending multiple messages to distribution lists. Today, the activation fee for this sophisticated service was lowered from 400 to 50 CZK and the monthly fee for using Advanced Voice Mail was reduced to 50 CZK as well. Another convincing evidence that Oskar is always on the customer’s side…

Cesky Mobil became the first dual-band (GSM 900/1800) network operator in the Czech Republic after being granted its license in October 1999. It launched commercial operation of its leading edge GSM network on March 1, 2000 under the brand name Oskar. By April 2002 Oskar acquired over 1,000,000 subscribers becoming one of the fastest growing third license operators in Europe! At present, Oskar is the only operator in the Czech Republic to constantly increase its market share.

Through the ClearWave holding, Český Mobil a.s. is a member of the telecommunications group of Canadian-based Telesystem International Wireless (TIW).
