Oskar has signed its 100.000th subscriber to its network. 27-year old entrepreneur, Mr. Martin Vacek of Hradec Kralove, said “This is great news especially since Oskar now has 83 % coverage with the best value for money.“ Mr.
Oskar reached its 100.000th subscriber only five months after its commercial launch. “Oskar is rapidly becoming a part of Czech communities by offering the best total value through advantageous, simple and affordable services for everybody, everyday,” said Fred Hrenchuk Senior director of Oskar.

Oskar is the first mobile telecommunications operator in the Czech Republic that has launched direct delivery (packages ordered over the phone are delivered to subscribers’ homes or offices and they pay cash-on-delivery) and the first to introduce traveling mobile stores –Oskaravans, which travel throughout the country.
Oskar is the brand name of Cesky Mobil, which launched its commercial service on March 1, 2000. Canadian-based Telesystem International Wireless (TIW) is the managing shareholder of Cesky Mobil.
