Monika Čížková becomes Vice-president of Brand & Communications

The new Vice-president for Brand & Communications from the 1st of November 2008 is Monika Čížková, the current director of the Brand and Communications department. Monika Čížková has joined the highest level of management at the company and will be responsible for all corporate marketing communication as well as brand development strategy. “Vodafone is one of the most envied brands on the Czech market. We want to further strengthen its uniqueness and difference from the competition,” Monika Čížková said. Monika has worked at Vodafone since 2004, when she began as the Director of Insights and Planning.

Monika has worked at Vodafone since 2004, when she began as the Director of Insights and Planning. Since February 1, 2008 she has been the Director of Brand and Communications. Before joining Vodafone, she was a senior consultant at the Gallup Organization where she handled market research. Monika has a lot of rich experience even at Internet start-ups. At Citibank, for example, she launched an Internet start-up daughter company. Monika spent most of the start of her career with DHL International, where she worked for nine years. She spent her last stretch at DHL International as the Commercial Director responsible for the marketing team, corporate and customer care.

Monika completed her studies at the Economics Faculty of the Information Technology University and the MBA program of the University of New York in Prague. Beside her mother tongue, she also speaks English, French and Russian. She often spends her free time outdoors and likes to ride horses most.
