From June, Vodafone offers higher speeds with faster VDSL

21. April 2011

From June 1, Vodafone will offer its business customers a faster version of fixed-line Internet, thanks to the innovative VDSL technology, which reaches connection speeds of up to 25 Mbps. Vodafone business customers will be able to pilot test fixed-line Internet download speeds of up to 25 Mbps and that without any data limits. "Vodafone offers customers a complete portfolio of fixed and mobile data connections," said David Duroň, Director of Marketing for Vodafone Corporate Clients and adds: "At present, we're offering it to our corporate clients in test mode, but we will certainly want to offer this service to all Vodafone customers in future." The service, called Vodafone Internet VDSL 25 Mbps differs from previous fixed-line types mainly in speed. While traditional types of ADSL connections are capable of speeds of 3, 8, or 16 Mbps, this new technology enables much higher speeds.

The service, called Vodafone Internet VDSL 25 Mbps differs from previous fixed-line types mainly in speed. While traditional types of ADSL connections are capable of speeds of 3, 8, or 16 Mbps, this new technology enables much higher speeds. This service will be available from Vodafone from the 1st of June, 2011 with a special dual modem. The service can be activated through the Vodafone Business Care line by calling 800 77 22 77.

Vodafone Internet 25 Mbps VDSL is currently available to 30% of the population. In areas where VDSL is not yet in place, we encourage customers to activate the 16 Mbps ADSL connection with the guarantee of a future free speed increase to 25 Mbps.
