By June, Vodafone will launch 3G in another 53 cities and towns

During the spring and early summer, Vodafone will strengthen its leadership among the GSM operators as 3G signal coverage and fast mobile Internet extends to a further 53 cities. By the end of June, Vodafone's 3G signal will be available in a total of 269 towns and villages. By August 30th of this year, 60% of the population of the Czech Republic will be able to use high-speed Internet from Vodafone. Currently, Vodafone is the leader among Czech operators in 3G signal coverage. It covers 216 towns and villages, equivalent to 48% of population.

During the spring and early summer, Vodafone will strengthen its leadership among the GSM operators as 3G signal coverage and fast mobile Internet extends to a further 53 cities. By the end of June, Vodafone's 3G signal will be available in a total of 269 towns and villages. By August 30th of this year, 60% of the population of the Czech Republic will be able to use high-speed Internet from Vodafone.

Currently, Vodafone is the leader among Czech operators in 3G signal coverage. It covers 216 towns and villages, equivalent to 48% of population. Now the operator is concentrating on covering outlying and smaller cities in all regions of the country. Where Vodafone launches new 3G signal, customers can activate the connection charge at a fifty percent discount for the first three months and can get the modem for a subsidized price of 77 crowns.

Vodafone's 3G network runs on the latest HSPA (High Speed Packet Access) from Huawei.

In addition to the 3G network, Vodafone customers can access mobile data over MobilKom's CDMA network, which covers 75 percent of the population, and its own 2G network - EDGE, which is available to 95 percent of the population of the Czech Republic.
