Vodafone Passport - Questions & Answers

What is Vodafone Passport?

Vodafone Passport is a new way of charging for calls from abroad. With this new service you’ll only pay a connection fee, the rest of the call is charged the same as a call to another network within the Czech Republic. The connection fee is charged every 20 minutes. Only if you call from abroad to the third country (i.e. a country other than the Czech Republic or within the country you are situated), the calls will be charged according to the pricelist for Vodafone Passport international calls.

Can all customers use the Vodafone Passport service?

Both new and existing customers can enjoy this new service. Vodafone Passport is also available to customers with prepaid cards. To use the Vodafone Passport service you must activate the Vodafone World Roaming service. Prepaid customers can activate Vodafone Passport only if they have a Vodafone Card or a Vodafone Wild Card.

Can customers with a prepaid card use Direct Calls within the Vodafone Passport service?

Customers with prepaid cards can make calls from abroad with the Direct or Return Call service. More information is available on www.vodafone.cz in the Vodafone World Roaming section.

In what countries can customers use the Vodafone Passport service?

The Vodafone Passport service is available in all networks of our roaming partners.

How can I get the Vodafone Passport service?

To get the Vodafone Passport service it is necessary to activate the Vodafone World Roaming service first. If you happen not to have roaming yet, we’ll activate it for you together with the Vodafone Passport. The Vodafone Passport service activation is free of charge and you don’t pay any activation or monthly fees. You can even activate your VF Passport abroad – if you have activated your Vodafone World Roaming.

Are there better charges for SMS, MMS or Data with the Vodafone Passport service?

The Vodafone Passport preferential prices apply only to voice services, the price for a sent text message is still according to the standard pricelist and rules for the Vodafone World Roaming. Therefore, it depends on what country you are in and what network. The same rules apply to MMS sending and data services.

How can I activate the Vodafone Passport service?

There are several activation methods you can use to get our great Vodafone Passport service. Just choose whatever is easier for you:

Your Vodafone Passport will be active the following day, to be exact after midnight. Don’t worry, you will receive a text message with confirmation of the service activation.

Can I use the better prices of the VPN services, Family Program, Number One Program, Friends Program or On My Own with the Vodafone Passport service?

Unfortunately, with the Vodafone Passport service you cannot use the VPN services, Family Program, Number One Program, Friends Program or On My Own services, which have preferential prices for the calls.

Can I use the free minutes with the Vodafone Passport service abroad?

Unfortunately, with the Vodafone Passport service you cannot use the free minutes abroad.

What minute rate is charged if I have an Agreement with Vodafone and make call from abroad with the Vodafone Passport service?

If you have Agreement with Vodafone tariff, the calls within the Vodafone Passport service will be charged like calls to another network in peak hours plus a connection fee. Only if you call from abroad to the third country (i.e. another country than the Czech Republic or country you are in), will the calls be charged according to the pricelist for the Vodafone Passport international calls (plus the connection fee).
