Friends

Get even closer to your friends with the Friends! That is, if you have one of our Tailor Made Tariffs, Loaded Tariffs, Full Tariffs or New Generation Tariffs. A small monthly payment will let you call and SMS your friends within the Vodafone or fixed line network in the Czech Republic for CZK 0 without any limits. It does not matter if they have a tariff or a prepaid card. And to make calls and sending SMS messages even easier for you, we also took the number of your friends into consideration. You’ll get a discount on your monthly payment for every friend you add.

Other Stuff You Should Know

The Friends can be used with up to four numbers from our or fixed line network. It doesn’t matter whether your friend has a tariff programme or a prepaid card. Just pay a monthly fee for an active number in the Friends and all calls and SMS messages to the selected number are totally free. Only the person who activated the Friends pays the monthly payment. This means that unlimited calls and SMS messages for CZK 0 are only available for this person.
A lower monthly payment is paid for every friend added to the Friends. If you choose four friends, the price per friend is only CZK 71.25 (including 20 % VAT).
Calls and SMS messages sent to the selected numbers are not deducted from free minutes or the value of the Loaded Tariffs. You will not pay a fee for activating the service and you can change your friends at any time free of charge.
Activation of The Friends, change or the addition of a new number will take place within few minutes from the moment we receive your request. Deactivating of The Friends always takes place at the end of the bill cycle.
If you activate The Friends during your bill cycle (e.g. in the middle) we will charge you pro-rated monthly fee for the first month only.
Changing number of selected numbers in The Friends is limited to maximum 4 changes bill cycle (e.g. adding or removing one number means 1 change).
The Friends is available only for calls originating in the Czech Republic. Calls to your friends made from abroad are charged according to the standard roaming pricelist. However, if the friend you are calling is abroad, the program enables you to call him or her free of charge just as if he or she was in the Czech Republic.

Activating the Friends

Conditions of Activation

1. Friends can be activated with any Tailor Made Tariff, Loaded, Full or New Generation tariff.
2. Any number in the Vodafone network can be added to your group of friends.
3. If you are using the Family, Number One or Favourites Program, you may not activate the Friends. However, you can belong to a group of activated friends.
4. The Friends offers one-sided benefit calls. Any owner of a number, who can identify themselves using by the password used for entering Self Care, can carry out the activation.

Would you like to activate the Friends with your current number?

First make sure that you have the correct tariff. If not, you can switch to one of the Tailor Made Tariffs, with which the Friends works perfectly. Simply call customer care on: *077.
You can activate the Friends there even if you already have the correct tariff. You can also use our Self Care, or you can visit one of our Vodafone Stores.
We will inform you about the successful activation by SMS. The Friends will then be active from the nearest midnight.

Where Can You Purchase a New Number and Activate the Friends at the Same Time?

1. At Vodafone stores

First, buy one of the Tailor Made Tariffs in one of our stores. Ask for the activation of the Friends and, at the same time, give them one or more numbers you would like to add to your friends group. And that’s all. It will all be set-up in the store.

Once we have received your request, we will let you know by SMS. The Friends will be activated from the nearest midnight.

2. Through Vodafone Sales at 800 77 77 77

First, buy one of the Tailor Made Tariffs through Vodafone Sales.
You can ask for the activation of the service during your activation call when you receive the SIM card. Or call *077, Self Care or visit any of our stores anytime after you have activated it.

Once we have received your request, we will let you know by SMS. The Friends will be activated from the nearest midnight.

3. Via the internet

There are many ways to activate this service. Firstly, you could go to our E-shop and buy one of our Tailor Made Tariffs and, in the selection menu, choose our Friends. You could ask for it to be pre-set during your first activation call. You can also give us your friends’ numbers during this call.
Or you can call *077 at any time to activate it, use the Self Care or go to one of our stores.

Once we have received your request, we will let you know by SMS. The Friends will be activated from the nearest midnight.

Changing or Cancelling the Friends

All changes to the Friends can be done free of charge using our Self Care, by visiting any of our stores or by calling customer care on: *077. Customers using the On My Own service will pay changes via customer care according to the prices listed in the standard conditions.

We’ll let you know the activation was successful by SMS. The Friends will be active immediately after this SMS is sent.

Replacing an existing number with a new one, deactivating a number or the deactivation of the whole service always takes place immediatelly. We will also inform you that we’ve received your request by sending you an SMS message. At least one number must be listed in the program to make it active.
