The Vodafone Czech Republic Foundation was established to create meaningful strategic partnerships with non-profit organizations and support specific development projects throughout the Czech Republic.
The Foundation receives subsidies both from Vodafone Česká Republika a.s., and from Vodafone Group Foundation (VGF). VGF provides assistance with the global coordination of the projects, which are implemented by local foundations within the international network, and mediates examples of good practice as applied in the investments into various social projects.
Vodafone Czech Republic Foundation is an independent legal entity. It is headed by nine directors who represent non-profit organizations and employees of Vodafone Czech Republic.
The Foundation was registered on 6 April 2006 in the Registry of Foundations maintained by Municipal Court of Prague, Section N., File 583, ID: 27442268.
Vodafone Czech Republic Foundation resulted from our enthusiasm for the world round us. Through the mediation of the Foundation, Vodafone Czech Republic wishes to help “the world to become a place where human solidarity is not a foreign concept and where socially responsible activities of corporations are the usual standard”.
The main objectives of the Foundation include support and strengthening of proactive participation of children and young people both on the level of projects, organizations or local communities. When selecting partners and projects, the Foundation will stress the development of skills and own initiatives of children and young people.
We fulfil our mission by interconnecting a broad mixture of people and groups in society. We support the principle of proactive involvement of target groups in solving their own problems. We want to cooperate in creating space, opportunities and tools with which people will be able to help themselves and others round them.
Simultaneously, we want to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged groups through the mediation of projects using the benefits of mobile and communication technologies.
