In April, we opened our first franchise shop in Přerov and announced our plan to double the number of branded stores from the current 63 to more than 130 in the next two years.
In March, we launched high-speed 3G mobile Internet in all of Brno and covered 70% of the Prague population, while committing to cover 30 – 40 large Czech cities with 3G within a year’s time.

We have more than three million customers (as of December 29, 2009).

We introduced the Vodafone Passport service, which allows calling from abroad to the Czech Republic for the same rate as a domestic tariff plus a one-time connection fee.

We went from calling ourselves Oskar Mobil a.s. to Vodafone Czech Republic a.s.
We launched the Vodafone live! mobile portal in the Czech Republic.
We introduced the new Loaded tariffs, where both minutes SMS are billed as part of a flat monthly charge.
We began negotiations with our partners to build a shared network for high-speed mobile Internet.
We began to sell our pre-paid services in cooperation with third-party retail chains.
We were the first operator to introduce the VPN partner service on the Czech market, which allows for calls within the company for CZK 0 per minute.
We closed out the year with a successful chihuahua campaign with gifts for all our new and current customers.
